Regionalization ClearinghouseRegionalization can be a source of budget savings and service improvements for communities. Municipal officials are looking for ideas about potential areas of regionalization and for details on how agreements are structured. Over the coming months, with the cooperation of public officials throughout the state, Pioneer will collect and post as many regionalization agreements as we can find. Our intent is to provide 1) ideas about areas of service to regionalize, 2) communities to contact and use as resources, and 3) models of governance. Please note that Pioneer Institute has not evaluated the regional agreements listed here for their efficacy. The documents were provided by the participating cities and towns. They are provided to you here only as a resource and model. To find out more about a particular agreement, any savings it may have achieved and what it’s impact has been on service to the participating communities, please contact them directly.
